This page used to introduce staff. It now does something more useful: it explains how Hong Kong to Komodo is actually put together. Pages here are published by the Hong Kong to Komodo Editorial Desk, which is a way of working rather than a roster.
The subjects we keep
Editorially, the site is built around how itineraries are put together, park access and conservation rules, what things actually cost and diving and snorkelling trips. We add a subject only when we can commit to maintaining it, not merely to publishing it once.
How we handle what we have not confirmed
Fees, permits and timetables in Indonesia are revised more often than most visitors expect. When a figure here has been checked against the office that sets it, we say where it came from. When it has not, we mark it unconfirmed and leave it that way until it can be checked.
No credentials, and why
You will not find years of service, qualifications or professional titles claimed anywhere on this site. Claims of that kind need paperwork behind them, and we do not have it, so we do not make them. Nothing here replaces advice from the office or operator responsible for your case.
Errors get corrected on the page rather than quietly dropped. If you find one, let us know. You can reach the desk through our contact page.
